Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well this evening. I wanted to bring you another DIY tonight that I am loving! DIY’s are so much fun, and they are usually way cheaper than stuff you buy in a store.

If a body scrub customized by you sounds amazing you’re in the right place just keep reading!

What You’ll Need

  • Epsom Salts
  • Coconut Oil
  • Essential Oils

  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Medium Bowl to mix it in
  • Spoon
  • A bowl or jar with a lid to store it in
  • Small bowl to melt coconut oil

How to Make It

  1. Put 1 cup of Epsom salts into your mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl put 1/2 cup of coconut oil. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave. This should only take about 30 seconds. Then add the oil to the bowl of Epsom salts.
  3. Next add your essential oils. I chose to add 1 teaspoon of lemon, 1/2 teaspoon of lavender, and 1/4 teaspoon of chamomile.
  4. Stir the mixture together, and put it in a sealed container.

Why I Love It

I absolutely love this body scrub! It is super easy to make, and it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients. All of the ingredients were only $24, and you can make multiple batches of this with what you get. In the long run it is way cheaper than buying a body scrub, and it is customized to what you personally love. Plus the ingredients have multiple uses! So you definitely get your money’s worth.

I love how well this scrub exfoliates my body without being too harsh. The Epsom salts are just coarse enough to exfoliate away all dead skin, but gentle enough to not hurt or irritate the skin. After using this scrub your skin will feel soft, silky, and luxurious! The coconut oil moisturizes and softens the skin in the best way. Your skin will feel amazing, and it helps fight against dry skin which we all know shows up in the colder months. The essential oils allow you to create any scent you want with your body scrub which I personally like because I am picky about scents. I chose lemon because I like citrus scents when it comes to cleansers. The lemon scent makes me feel fresh and energized. The chamomile and lavender are both very calming. I find that they help to relax me. This scrub is definitely one I will continue to use, and it is one of my favorite DIYs.

How You Can Customize It

Probably the best part of this DIY scrub is that you can customize it in so many different ways. The first way you can customize it is to choose which oil you want to include. I chose to use only coconut oil, but there are many other options as well. You could instead use olive oil, Vitamin E oil, or even do a combination of different oils. As long as the measurement does not exceed 1/2 cup you can use as many different oils as you’d like. Then you can also customize which essential oils to include. There are a lot of different essential oils that you can buy. Choose your favorite scents for your scrub so that it is customized to what you want. Each essential oil also has a benefit such as calming, stress relief, energizing, etc. So if you’re looking for a scrub that will do something specific such as be calming you can customize your oils to do just that! You could also leave out the essential oils if you wanted. The coconut oil does give the scrub a scent so if you’re satisfied with that you wouldn’t need to add anything else. You could also purchase scented Epsom salts in place of essential oils. There are Epsom salts customized to do different things such as the spearmint and eucalyptus ones that are meant for stress relief and calming sore muscles.

You really can take this simple scrub and make it perfect for you! I promise it is definitely worth it. You will never be disappointed with how your skin feels after using this scrub! It comes highly recommended by me.

Thank you so much for reading! I appreciate it so much! I hope you try and enjoy this DIY body scrub.
