Hello My Beauties!
Welcome back my beauties, and if this is your first time here thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you join the Distressed Beauty family!
Today I want to share with you my most recent purchases from Lush! Lush is an amazing brand that is cruelty free, 100% vegetarian, completely handmade, takes part in ethical buying, and has naked packaging. I find brands that use all natural ingredients and recycled/recyclable materials to be the best of the best. When the ingredients are all natural you know it is good for your body! There is no chance of anything harsh or bad for your skin with natural ingredients. To me it is special to have products that you know are hand-made by a hardworking team. If you haven’t checked out Lush before I highly recommend that you do! They have a lot to offer, and the products are top quality.
So if you’re interested to see the items I picked up from Lush then just keep scrolling!
Lush is probably most known for their bath bombs! These bath bombs are HUGE! They are perfect for a nice hot relaxing bath. So of course I had to stock up on a few of these. I decided to get the Intergalactic, Lava Lamp, Over and Over, Blackberry, and Avobath. These are the ones that stuck out to me the most. However, they have plenty of different ones so everyone can find their perfect bath bomb!
If you haven’t bought some of these then what are you waiting for? You need to try them out!
As I shopped the site I wanted to pick up a few things that I have never tried. When I saw the Five O’Clock Whistle shaving smoothie I knew I had to try it out.
“Lather up with this whipped shaving smoothie and bring out your skin’s glowing best. We’ve mixed up soothing lavender and invigorating coffee with nourishing jojoba oil and olive oil for the closest, softest shave possible. Kiss razor burn goodbye and say hello to silky smooth, perfectly soothed skin.” -Lush Website
Doesn’t that sound amazing?!? My skin is very sensitive to shaving creams. There are very few that I can use without causing my skin to breakout and get itchy. I am hoping since this is made from natural oils it will soothe my skin, and not break me out. I can’t wait to try it out!
Massage Bar and Matching Tin
The next thing that caught my eye was this Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar. This massage bar has a combination of ingredients such as cinnamon oil, peppermint oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and Aduki beans that are meant to help relieve aching muscles. I thought this could be great after a hard day of work or a killer work out at the gym to soothe those aching muscles. I can’t wait to put this to use! I have a feeling it will get used a lot.
I also purchased the metal tin case to store the product.
Foundation and Setting Powder
I have tried a lot of Lush products, but I had no idea they sold foundation and setting powder! I honestly have not heard anyone talk about these products so of course I have to put them to the test.
Their foundation is called a Color Supplement, and I picked up their lightest shade Jackie Oates. The packaging is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, and I’m usually not a fan of foundation being in a pot type packaging. However, the shade looks like a really good match, and I am excited to put it to the test. It claims that you can use it on its own for full coverage or mix it with a moisturizer to sheer it out. I, of course, want the full coverage. It also claims to have honey and aloe Vera in it to cool the skin. It sounds very intriguing, and I will have a full review of it up later. One downfall is it is only available in 9 shades so a lot of people would have to mix them to get a matching shade.
Since I am trying out the foundation I figured I might as well try out their setting power as well. Their setting powder, Emotional Brilliance, claims to be a translucent mattifying powder. Sounds like perfection to me, but I am curious to see how well it works. One thing that throws me off is when you look at the powder it is clearly pink in color. I am curious to see if that color shows at all or if it is truly translucent. The powder comes in the same packaging as the foundation, and you have to be careful! There is no sifter on the pot so as soon as you open it powder is filled to the brim and ready to fall out. I definitely think they could change the packaging on this one, but I am still excited to use it.
I will have more details on these once I try them out!
That’s all that I picked up from Lush! I hope you all enjoyed this haul.
