Hello my beauties!

Recently I have decided that I want to branch out from my comfort zone to try new brands that previously didn’t catch my eye.

Rimmel London is a brand that I have tried previously. I absolutely love their provocalips 16 hour kiss proof lip colour! It really does last all day! I have really only tried a couple products from the brand so I decided to pick up some other products to test out.

If you’re interested to hear my thoughts just keep scrolling!

The London Look I Created

I didn’t have an exact look in mind when I created this. I honestly just wanted to test out the products, and this is what I ended up creating.

Magnif’Eyes Shadow Keep Calm and Wear Nude Palette

Oh my! Can you see that pigment? All the swatches were done with just one swipe. I am beyond impressed with the pigmentation of these eyeshadows. Honestly I didn’t have much hope because many drug store brand eyeshadows aren’t that pigmented, but these proved me wrong! This palette is packed with pigment, and you only need to barely dip in your brush with these!

I was not only amazed by how pigmented these eyeshadows were, but also by how easily they blended out. I honestly had no problem at all getting them to blend out. These eyeshadows are easy to work with, and I definitely recommend the palette.

There is a lot of powder kick back with these eyeshadows, but that doesn’t bother me personally. If it is good quality I can deal with some kick back. I also noticed that the shimmers applied best using my finger rather than a brush.

Overall for a first impression I was blown away with this palette! I will definitely be testing it out more.

Stay Matte Foundation 010- Light Porcelain

I had heard about this foundation for a long time, but I had never actually picked it up from the store. I was honestly afraid that the mouse like texture would emphasize my pores. However, I did decide to give it try this time.

The first thing I noticed is that it feels very light weight. It truly felt like blending nothing into the skin. It was a very hot and humid day, and the foundation never felt too heavy on my skin which is great.

It claims to be a natural foundation which I agree with. I would say with one layer it is a solid medium coverage. I could still see my freckles showing through it which I don’t mind from time to time. It also claims to be a shine controlling foundation, but I am not sure I agree with that statement. I used a matte primer plus used a setting spray, and throughout the day I got very oily. Of course, the weather could have played a part in that as well.

Overall, I am unsure how I feel about it. I don’t hate it, but I’m not in love with it either. I will have to keep testing it out to see what I think.

Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I have tried the Stay Matte Pressed Powder once before this time. I liked it, but I only got to use it once because it shattered in my purse. 😦 I threw it in with all my other makeup, and the next time I went to use it there was nothing but smashed pieces. For that reason I would say it is probably not best to travel with this powder.

That being said, I do really like this powder. It takes away any shine on your skin which I really like since I prefer to be matte. If I start to get oily in the day I can put this on again, and it doesn’t cake up or get heavy. I really like that it is light yet also oil controlling.

Super Curler Mascara in Extra Black

This mascara caught my attention because it claimed to curl and volumize lashes. That is all I want in my lashes.

Honestly, this product was a bit of a miss. I don’t feel like it did much to my lashes. I like to have a lot of volume, and this just didn’t do it for me. I also didn’t find it be very black is this one was supposed to be the darkest of the two black shades.

It isn’t a horrible mascara at all, but there are others I will reach for over this one.

Colour Precise Eyeliner

I chose this eyeliner because I typically like felt tip liners. This one is super easy to work with! The felt tip is just the right length and stiffness to give you that perfect precise line.

This isn’t the most pigmented liner, but you can definitely work with it. It won’t be my go to favorite liner, but I will use it. The main issue I had was it drying up when I was trying to do my second eye. I will just have to play around with it more, but it isn’t horrible.

Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Liner Pencil in Rose Quartz

I absolutely love this lip liner! It is a gorgeous metallic rose shade. It glides on super easy, and it is highly pigmented. I honestly would wear this on its own.

This is definitely a lip liner I will continue to use!

Lasting Finish by Kate Nude Collection Lipstick Shade 42

This lipstick is definitely a creamy formula which is not typically what I go for. However, I really like how comfortable this lipstick is to wear. Plus I noticed that even being so creamy it did last a long time on my lips. It is always a great plus when a lipstick is comfortable and long wearing. Plus it is a gorgeous every day nude! This one I will probably throw in my purse to use from time to time.

That is all that I picked up to try from Rimmel London! Overall I am impressed with the products. I definitely need to play around with a couple of them more. I am really glad I got out of my comfort zone to try some new stuff. Thank you so much for reading about my first impressions! I hope you all enjoyed it! Have you tried any of these products?
