I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! It is a rainy day here which I actually love. Some of my best memories happened on rainy days and nights so I enjoy days like this.
Today I am very excited to share all of the products I have been loving this month, and I actually have quite a few misses this month as well. This is going to be a long one so grab a hot cup of tea and a snack, and I hope you enjoy it!
Don’t forget to comment below what products you loved this month so I can check them out! To see my favorites just keep scrolling!
Products I Am Loving!
Filtered Light Setting Powder by Tarte
The filtered light setting powder is a light-weight talc free formula that blurs pores, mattifies, and leaves your skin looking flawless! I am obsessed with using this powder! First things first it smells like vanilla cupcakes! Who wouldn’t love that? More importantly though it really works great. It keeps me matte all day, and it never feels heavy on the skin. It gives skin an airbrushed appearance, and it is gorgeous. I highly recommend it!
Romantic Rose Blush by Milani
Milani’s romantic rose blush is a gorgeous flush of color on the cheeks! It is a subtle blush. It is definitely one that you have to build up a little, but it gives a natural flush of color. It is great for day-to-day looks, and it goes well with any eye look. I have been wearing this one non-stop all month!
Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo by BareMinerals
I received the invisible light powder duo in my July Boxy Charm! I was very excited to see this product because I had wanted it for quite a while. I enjoy both sides of this product. The matte side does keep me matte all throughout the day, and it is very light-weight. However, this product is in my favorites because of the glow side! I absolutely love the natural glow this product gives. It has been my go to highlight all month!
Mega Pro 3 Palette by Lorac
When I saw that the Lorac mega pro 3 palette was being released again I nearly ran to my computer to get it ordered! I wasn’t able to get it the first time, and I was not missing it this time. This palette is one of the only palettes I have used all month. The eyeshadows are creamy, pigmented, and they blend like a dream! This is honestly my favorite Lorac palette that I have tried. The quality is on another level with this one, and you can create so many different looks with it. I just can’t put it down!
Electric Eyes Palette by Blinc
The only other palette I used this month was the electric eyes palette that came in my Boxy Charm. This palette has the creamiest most pigmented metallic eyeshadows I have ever used! They look just as gorgeous on the eyes as they do swatched. To see it in action check out my Charming Makeup Look! This palette really amazed me, and if you can get it then don’t pass it up!
Lash Paradise Mascara by Loreal
When I first tried out this mascara I was truly disappointed. However, the reason is because of how over hyped it is on social media. The lash paradise mascara was instantly compared to the Too Faced better than sex mascara, and it blew up all over on social media. So I expected a mind-blowing mascara better than I have ever tried before. That was not the case. There are other mascaras out there that I like more than this one, but it is still a really good one. Compared to other mascaras at the drug store it is great. It gives your lashes volume, and gives them a wispy look. I have been using it a lot, and I do really like it. Just don’t let all that hype ruin it.
Sheet Masks by Biobelle
In the past sheet masks weren’t my favorite to use, but Biobelle has completely changed my opinion. I was introduced to this brand in a Boxy Charm box, and I am so glad it was included. My favorite thing about these masks is the material it is made from. The mask has a fiber like texture, and when you place it on your face it grips to it. You can walk around and get things done while you use these masks, and you never have to worry about it slipping or sliding away. I also have really noticed a difference in my skin when I use them, and that of course is a plus. I highly recommend this brand!
Keep It Sweet Sugar Lip Mask by Milani
I have definitely found my new favorite lip scrub to use! The keep it sweet scrub is amazing! It scrubs away all the dead skin on my lips, and it hydrates them at the same time. I love this formula. It works without being too harsh, and my lipsticks apply so much better after using this product. My local Walmart just recently started carrying Milani, and I have been loving exploring their products. If you’re in the market for a great lip scrub you definitely need to pick this one up! It is essential to my makeup routine now!
Make It Last Setting Spray by Milani
Milani’s make it last setting spray has made it to the top of the list of my favorite setting sprays! I love the mist on this product. It is a super fine mist that sprays evenly over your face. It is very refreshing to spray this product at the end of doing your makeup. It takes away the powdery look to your skin so that all your products look a bit more natural. I honestly have noticed that it helps my makeup last longer as well. I have chosen this spray over all my others all month!
Brow Shapers by Trim
Where have brow shapers (razors) been all my life? I don’t know how I ever did my brows without them! I bought a three pack of these at my local Walmart just to test them out after hearing a few others rave about some they got on Amazon. I have used these so much! They are essential to my brow routine now. When it is time to work on my brows I use this over my tweezers, and I get better and faster results. These honestly make shaping your brows super easy! Just remember to be super careful because these are sharp!
Products I Am Leaving
Uni Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil by Winky Lux
I won’t go into too much detail since I recently spoke about this in my Charming Makeup Look, but this product was a major miss for me. I couldn’t get a precise brow at all, and the product was very dry. It tugged on my skin, and I just had a lot of difficulty getting it to work. Some people have given this product a great review so definitely check it out if you are interested it just didn’t work for me. I have added mine to my donate box to give it away.
Nourishing Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner by Macadamia Professional
If you have followed my blog for a while then you know I have a whole post dedicated to Macadamia Professional’s nourishing moisture hair mask. I absolutely love that hair mask so I thought I would give the shampoo and conditioner a try. Unfortunately, it was a total miss for me! It left my hair feeling very heavy, and it honestly didn’t give me much moisture at all. I will continue to use their mask, but the shampoo and conditioner just don’t work for my hair.
Diamond Glow Powder by Artist Couture
This was another Boxy Charm product that just was not for me. This product is a great highlight, but it is full of little glitters. I cannot stand glitter on my face, and that is why this product isn’t for me. It isn’t a bad product at all. It is just a matter of personal preference. I don’t like the glitter so I will be donating this product as well, but if you don’t mind glitter you would probably like this.
Disappearing Act 4 in 1 Concealer by PÜR
PUR is one of my favorite brands, but this concealer I was not a fan of at all. The product claims to make your dark circles disappear which is why I wanted to try it. However, I found this concealer to have very little coverage. It didn’t cover my dark circles or the veins in my eye lids. I like my concealers to have a medium to full coverage so that it hides the darkness under my eyes. This one just does not have good coverage in my opinion. I definitely am passing on this.
Collagen Hydro Gel Gold Mask by Masqueology
I didn’t completely hate this mask, but it is still a product I won’t use again. First, I was disappointed because the picture shows a gold mask, but the mask is actually clear gel with gold flecks of glitter throughout it. Now that may not bother some people, but I am huge on advertisement, and I believe companies need to advertise their products accurately. Making a product appealing to sell is important, but it is also important to not mislead your consumers.
My other major issue with this product is it didn’t fit my face. Part of the mask covered over my eyes which lead to product getting into my eyes, and it burned my eyes really bad! There was no way to get it to lay where it wouldn’t get the product in my eyes which is the main reason I would never use it again.
The mask did have a cooling effect on the skin since it is a gel mask. I really liked that part of it. It also seemed to hydrate my skin as well. So it’s not the worst, but it isn’t something I will use again.
Mega Curl 90 False Lashes by Andrea
I am not a person that uses false lashes very often. My eyes are sensitive, and no matter what glue I use I usually end up having to take them off because my eyes get irritated. However, sometimes I do like to add the lashes even if it’s only for a short time. I had not tried out this particular brand before, but they were affordable so I thought I’d try them. I could not get these to work for me at all. I typically like thin bands because it makes the lashes more comfortable to wear. However, the band on these was too thin and flimsy. I could not get it to shape around my eyes. The band needed to have a bit more stiffness to it. I don’t recommend these! If you want an affordable lash option I recommend Ardell.
That is all for July’s love it or leave it! I hope you enjoyed reading through all the products. Thank you so much for reading, I truly appreciate it! Have a wonderful evening beauties!
