Hello Beauties!

Thank you so much for clicking on my page! Today I want to share with all of you my first impressions on some drug store makeup! These aren’t new products, but they are new to me. I have tested them out, and now I want to share my initial thoughts!

If you’d like to know how these products worked for me then just keep scrolling!

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation

This product is slightly a cheat, but I still wanted to include it in this post. I have tried this foundation before in the shade 01 Creamy Vanilla. However, that shade was at least 3 shades too dark for me, and I could not get it to work. I loved the formula, but the shade would not work for me.

When I saw they came out with a new shade 00A Porcelain I definitely wanted to try it out again. The shade is perfect for me. I have no complaints with this new shade because it is light enough for me, and it also has a nice pink undertone in it. However, when I wore this it did not last on me at all! I was very shocked at how fast it started to look bad on my skin because the other shade didn’t do that. I feel like the formula in this one is somehow different.

Right now I am disappointed with this, but I will try it out again to see if I can make it work.

Elf Illuminating Face Primer

I got this primer on clearance which is great because Elf is already a very affordable brand. I don’t always use illuminating type primers because I have combination oily skin. However, I do use them on occasion so I thought I would give this one a shot.

Oh my, I have never disliked a primer as much as I do this one. It is an intense yellow-orange glitter. That is all this primer is to be completely honest. It looks like you took a yellow-orange chunky glitter, and wiped it all over your face. It did not add luminosity to my skin at all. It was not something I would ever put on my skin again. I saw no benefit of this primer at all, and I will definitely be donating it.

Hard Candy Highlight and Contour Face Duo Stick

Hard Candy is always a hit or miss brand for me. I recently saw mesijesibeauty on Youtube mention this product, and I really loved the color of the contour.

So I picked this up just for the contour side of the product, and I am so glad I did! The tone of this contour shade is perfect for my skin tone. I picked up the lightest shade, and it is just cool toned enough to give that perfect shadow.

This product blends out beautifully! I usually don’t go for cream contour, but this product makes me want to do it. I can’t say much on the highlight side, but the contour side makes it worth purchasing!

Milani Bronzer XL, Radiant Tan

This bronzer was another clearance purchase. I wasn’t sure how it would look on my skin tone, but I decided to try it out anyway. I’m definitely not disappointed with it!

This particular shade has a red undertone to it which actually compliments my skin tone really well. It gives me a nice warmth to my skin, but it doesn’t look orange at all. It really is a perfect shade for me.

I was concerned because there are gold glitters throughout the product, and I hate glitter on my face. However, when you apply the bronzer with a fluffy brush the glitters wipe away, and you don’t even notice they were there. This product was a win!

Milani Strobelight Glow Powder, Afterglow

When I first dipped my brush into this highlight I was very disappointed. The reason was because no product come off onto my brush. However, then I took my finger, and scratched all across the top layer of the product. Once I did that the product did pick up on my brush.

After getting through that first mishap I fell in love with the highlight. It has a pink undertone, and it really pops on my light skin. It is a gorgeous pop of glow. I will say that it slightly emphasizes texture, but it isn’t the worst. I do still enjoy wearing this, and I reach for it a lot now.

Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection, 03

This eye palette was another clearance find. I had heard great things about Milani eye palettes, and I was not let down. This palette is gorgeous, and the shadows blend out like a dream! This palette isn’t filled with colors that I would reach for everyday, but I do still love these colors. I was very impressed with these eyeshadows, and I can’t wait to buy more of these palettes. They are affordable, and the quality is great!

Milani Stay Put Matte Liquid Liner, Black

I have mixed feelings about this liner so let me explain.

This liner is definitely a deep matte black which I love! The formula is great, and it was very easy to apply it. However, when I went to put liner at the inner corner of my lid a little of the product got into my eye. It instantly started to burn, and it irritated my eyes so bad I had to wipe all my makeup off and remove my contacts. Now I do have sensitive eyes so that may be why it bothered me so much, and it also wasn’t supposed to get into my eyes.

It didn’t bother me while I just had it on my lid. So if you have sensitive eyes I would just be extra careful when you get towards your inner corner. I will have to give this another shot, but I am not the biggest fan of it at the moment.

Thank you so much for clicking on my page! If you enjoyed this post be sure to give it a like, and subscribe before you leave so you don’t miss any of my new posts! Until next time, have a great evening!
