Welcome back beauties or if it’s your first time here welcome to the Distressed Beauty ® family! Don’t forget to like this post, and subscribe before you leave so you won’t miss future content. Thank you so much for taking time to read my content, I truly appreciate it.
I know it has been a long time since I posted any content on here or any of my social media pages as well. Life honestly has been kicking me while I was down, and I just had to have a break. Anyone who loves to write knows that you often convey your emotions in your writing without even meaning to, and the emotions I was feeling I did not want conveyed into this page.
I want my blog to be a happy and positive space for all my beauty obsessed readers to come to when they need an escape from all the negative life can throw at us. Which is why I took a break to get through some things in my life.
But now I am back! And what better place to start than with my favorite beauty subscription box?!?
What is Boxy Charm?

Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask by Briogeo
I was so excited to see this mask in the box! It was a bonus 6th item for the month of September, and it came at the perfect time. Just a little update on my hair. I chose to go with dark roots, and then dye the rest an icy blonde. Needless to say my hair is super brassy, and it is highly damaged right now. So my hair is in major need of some serious TLC.
This mask from Briogeo claims to restore hydration, and protect from future damage. I have only used it once, but I honestly liked it. It did make my hair a little softer which is a huge step from the straw like feeling that it has been. I will continue to test this out, and let you guys know how it goes.

Face Perfecting Brush by bareMinerals
I have to be honest out of everything in the box I was least excited for this. BareMinerals originally launched this patented foundation brush with one of their foundations. It has a dip in the middle of the brush where you are supposed to drop in the foundation, and then apply it in swirling motions.
I gave this brush a fair shot today using the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation, and I honestly can say this brush is not for me. Studio Skin is one of my favorite foundations. I love how it looks, and the coverage I can get with it. This brush not only reduced the coverage of the foundation, but it also applied it patchy. So for me this brush is unfortunately a pass.

Loose Blush by Studio Makeup
I am still on the fence with this product. It is a gorgeous color that gives you a natural peachy color to the cheeks. It does have a lot of glitter in it, but it all brushes away when you apply the blush.
My problem with this blush is the fact that it is a loose powder. Loose powders are just very messy, and I can easily see me getting blush everywhere when I use this. I also noticed today when I applied it that it is very easy to apply way too much at once. You really have to be careful to only pour a small amount, and go in with a very light hand. That being said it does look nice on the skin. I will just have to keep playing with this one, and see how I like it.

Ultra Satin Lip (Strip) by Colourpop
I was obviously excited to see this product in my box. I love Colourpop lipsticks! This is their ultra satin formula in the shade Strip. The satin formula is a comfortable matte finish. It does transfer, but it still lasts throughout the day.
This color will be perfect for the Fall! It is a warm deep nude shade on me which will be perfect for when I don’t want to go full vampy. I will definitely get a lot of use out of this one!

Eyebrows by MAC Cosmetics
I was surprisingly shocked by this product. I love the color that I got because it is perfect for a day-to-day natural looking brow. It applies nicely by gliding on without being too waxy. The only issue I have with this product is it doesn’t come with a spooly. I prefer pencils that have the spooly on the other side because it is more convenient. However, this isn’t the worst product. I still see myself using it.

Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette by PUR
This palette was definitely the thing I was most excited for, and when I swatched it I got even more excited. The matte shades are creamy and buttery, but the shimmers are just amazing! The one swipe pigment you get from these eye shadows is impressing. Plus they are easy to blend out. I really like this palette so far, and I think it will be a great everyday neutrals palette.
