How is everyone doing? I hope you are all doing well, and staying warm! Its only 21 degrees here today which is actually warm compared to what it has been. I am so unbelievably over this nasty Winter weather. Do you guys enjoy Winter, or are you wishing for Summer too?
Today I want to share with you all my current flawless foundation routine. Lately, with the cold weather I have noticed a lot of change in my skin. Whereas I used to get very oily throughout the day now I am staying more normal to dry. I do still get some shine by the end of the day, but nothing like I typically do in the warmer months.
I have recently found a combination of products that work great on my skin. It gives me a healthy and smooth finish that lasts throughout the day. For the past 2-3 months it is the only combination I have been wearing!
If you’re interested to know what products I’ve been reaching for just keep on scrolling!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
I got this travel size photo finish primer water months ago as part of a free gift. At that time I tried it, but didn’t particularly love it. However, it has become my go to first step the past few months. I can really tell a difference in my skin when I use this versus when I don’t use it. It helps to hydrate my skin, and I think it helps my foundation apply a lot smoother!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
This is another primer that was in my collection and it was okay, but I never reached for it. The main reason I used to not use this is because it does nothing to control oil. Therefore, if I used this I would get very oily throughout the day, and I am not a fan of that. However, since my skin has been less oily lately this primer has been great! It smooths out any dry areas, fills in my pores, and makes my foundation look flawless. It provides a great base for my foundation to lay on, and now that I don’t have as much oil I don’t have to worry about it breaking up my foundation throughout the day.
Smashbox Studio Skin 15 hour Wear Hydrating Foundation
If you have followed my blog for awhile then you already know that studio skin is one of my holy grail foundations! I absolutely love this foundation because it never looks bad on my skin. It has buildable coverage, never looks cakey or heavy, wears great for hours, and it just never lets me down. As you can see I need to go buy a new bottle because this one is nearly gone. This is the only foundation I have liked on my skin the past couple months. Nothing else in my collection compares to how this makes my skin look.
If you are on a budget try out the Wet N Wild Photo Focus foundation. It is very similar to this one, but it is a lot cheaper!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer
This was the first concealer I ever truly loved, but then I got away from it because I was trying new things. When I first repurchased this I was unsure whether I still like it or not. However, obviously you can see I am again loving this! It gives me the coverage I need to hide my dark circles, it has just enough hydration, never creases, and it looks beautiful on the skin. This will definitely continue to be a holy grail for me.
Coty Air Spun Loose Setting Powder
This is one of those products that will always be in my collection. I go back and forth with using this between trying new products. I love this powder! It gives the skin a smooth finish, keeps oil at bay, and doesn’t dry out the skin. The only downfall to this powder is it has a strong scent. However, if you can get past the scent the powder is great!
Milani Make It Last Setting Spray
Last but not least is the Milani setting spray! I have multiple back ups of this product because it is hands down my favorite setting spray! It has the perfect mist on it that is fine but not so fine that you can’t feel it. It sprays evenly all over the face, and really helps powders settle into the skin. It also really does help your makeup last all day. My makeup is not complete without this spray. If you haven’t tried it yet you definitely need to!
Well beauties that is all for my go to flawless foundation routine! These are the products that I have been loving for the past few months, and it is what has helped my skin look flawless. Thank you so much for spending time on my page! Let me know in the comments what your go to products for your foundation routine are! Have a great night!
