Hello my wonderful Beauties!

How is everyone doing? I swear the theme of the year for me has been bad news, and a whole lot of stress. Still struggling over here, but it is great to be sitting here typing because this is what relaxes me! I hope all is well with my readers! Let me know how your 2018 is going!

I am super excited for today’s post because it is time for a monthly favorites post! If you are new to my blog this is where I talk about the products I loved all month as well as the products I disliked. There are some products I will not be mentioning in this post because I just recently spoke about them in My Current Flawless Foundation Routine! So if you missed that post be sure to check it out to see some of my other favorites!

Thank you so much for joining me! If you’re interested to see my favorite products from January then just keep scrolling!

Love It

Mens Post Shave Balm by Nivea

nivea

At first thought you may be wondering why this would be in my favorites, but I promise its a good one! A while back this shave balm went viral all over Youtube because a lot of beauty gurus were using it as a face primer. I, as usual, am way late on the train. I decided to try this when I saw it on Rollback at Walmart, and I am so glad that I did. This is great as a primer. At first it feels like a moisturizer, but then the more you rub it into the skin it becomes tacky. I swear foundation sticks to this, and it is locked in all day long! This makes my foundation wear all day better than any primer I have tried. Honestly, if you thought the hype was ridiculous go buy this, and I don’t think anyone will be disappointed.

Photo Focus Foundation by Wet N Wild

wetnwild

If you have followed me for awhile then you definitely have heard me mention this foundation. I find this to be a total dupe for the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation, and it is way more affordable. I could go on and on about how much I love this foundation. It is long wearing, medium to full coverage, looks smooth on the skin, and it will work for any skin type! This is my number one recommendation when anyone asks me what foundation to buy. I have wore this all month when I wasn’t wearing the Smashbox one. It will always be a favorite, and I just had to mention it again.

Illuminating Face Powder in 03 Beauty’s Touch by Milani

blush

I bought this powder when I saw it on clearance. I am always stocking the makeup section at Walmart when clearance rolls out. You can usually find some great deals! This one was actually half off regular price, and I really hope the product isn’t gone forever. This makes such a beautiful blush! It gives the perfect flush of color, and it gives a nice sheen to the skin. It’s not glittery or too intense. It just gives the perfect healthy glow to the cheeks. If you can find this product I highly recommend it.

Rodeo Drive Highlight by Ofra Cosmetics

ofra

I never imagined I would mention this product as a favorite, but let this just prove you should always be open to trying new things! Typically I prefer a matte look with very subtle highlight if any at all. However, the past month I have constantly reach for this highlight. I have found with a light hand this can give a gorgeous glow that isn’t crazy. Now this can definitely be an intense beaming highlight if that is what you want, but you can also tone it down. I have honestly used this highlight nearly every day the past month. It is so gorgeous, and the formula is amazing.

Contour Eye Pencil 12HR Wear Waterproof in Tiramisu by Sephora Collection

sephora

I have definitely mentioned this product before as well. I have very watery eyes, and I have a lot of trouble with keeping eye liner on my water line throughout the day. This liner is one of the only ones I can use that will not budge all day. I love this shade because it is a dark rich brown. It has been great here lately because I have been doing minimal makeup. So when I don’t have shadow on, but I want some definition this is my go to liner. It gives me a little something without being too intense.

Huge Extreme Lash Mascara by Stilla

huge lash

This is forever my holy grail mascara! I wanted to mention it today because I tried to give some others a fair chance the past month, and with all of them I kept wanting to go back to this one. Nothing makes my lashes look as good as this one does. I tried to like some others, but the Stilla gives me everything I want in a mascara. My lashes always look full, and I always get compliments on them. So this is declared my forever favorite mascara!

Shake It Brow Powder in 002 by Rimmel

browshake

This product is slightly a cheat because I’ve only used it a week and a half, but there was no way I was leaving this out! I don’t know why I was waiting to try this product because I was missing out. This is hands down one of the best brow products I have ever tried! It is super pigmented, easy to apply neatly, and very quick to apply! I am obsessed with this product. As soon as I tried it I forgot all other brow products existed. I seriously can’t stop using this, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Easy Brow Gel by Milani

brow gel

This is another clearance find, and I have really been loving it! I will say this is not very pigmented to be a tinted brow gel. When I apply this the color does not show at all. However, I find that it sets my brows really well without feeling crunchy. As a tinted brow gel I would not recommend it. If you’re just looking for a good brow gel then I highly recommend it! It really does a great job, and I have been using it over my Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel.

Pure Clay Mask Purify and Mattify with Eucalyptus by L’Oreal

pureclay

Yet another clearance find that was a major hit! This mask is awesome if you have clogged pores. I have oily skin with large pores, and I get a lot of blackheads. This has really been helpful with my skin lately. I use this at least twice a week, and I noticed that it really does help to clean my skin. It isn’t super intense, but it is good. It also doesn’t dry out the skin a whole lot after you use it so that is always a plus. After trying this one I want to try some of the others in the pure clay line. If you have tried any let me know which you like the best!

Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder by Tarte

tarte

Tarte is one of my most favorite brands. I love a lot of their products. However, this powder I regret buying. I wanted a new powder to try so I thought this one would be great. I am disappointed in this product! It does not keep me matte, and it is very hard to blend out. I literally have so much trouble getting this to blend out. It leaves the strangest white cast all over the skin that is really hard to blend out. I honestly would pass on this powder. Their Filtered Light powder is way better, and I will be going back to that one.

Blush and Highlight Palette in Pacific Coast Pink by Smashbox

blush kit

I was so excited to try this product, but it let me down. Again, I love this brand, but I don’t like this product. The formula is just off to me. The highlight shade has basically no shimmer to it at all. It does not give a glow to the skin at all. The other two shades have a chalky like texture, and I find them to be very patchy when applied. With a light hand they barely show up, and as you build them up they just get patchy. I tried this over and over, but I cannot get this product to work for me.

Lash Paradise Mascara by L’Oreal

lash paradise

I first tried this mascara when there was a lot of hype surrounding it. At that point I did not like it, but I thought it was because all the hype had me expecting more than I should have been. However, I purchased it again to try out, and I gave it a fair shot. I just don’t like this mascara at all. I don’t think it does anything at all to my lashes! It does not give me volume, it does not darken my lashes, and I have to apply multiple coats just to notice it is there at all. I personally think their original voluminous carbon black is 20 times better. So I am still passing on this mascara. It is just not for me.

That is everything for January’s love it or leave it! I cannot believe that January 2018 is already over. Where did the time go?!? Thank you again so so much for joining me! 1. Such a shame about the Smashbox palette–the colors look like they’d be so pretty if they worked well! I might have to try some of the brow products you mentioned. I’ve been on a kick to find some cheaper alternatives to Anastasia. Great post!
