Hello Everyone!
I hope you all are enjoying a safe and fun Memorial day weekend! Nothing much going on for me. I am just getting things done around the house before heading to bed super early. This week starts my 2am shifts for work, and let me tell you I am never fully prepared for that.
Today I am going to share with you what I received in this months Boxy Charm!
“Boxy Charm is a monthly subscription box where you receive 5 full size beauty products valued over $100 for only $21 a month.”
This months theme is Boxy Bash for celebrating Boxy Charm’s birthday. This months box also included 6 full size products instead of 5! Although, I have to admit that I was not a fan of this months box. It was bound to happen eventually right? I have had this subscription for over a year now, and this is the first month that I really didn’t like what I received. Still I think that Boxy Charm is totally worth it, and I am still excited for next month. So with that said let’s get into the products!
Blurring Primer by CoverFX
The last primer I used from CoverFX broke me out really bad which made me nervous to try this one. However, this one so far has not given me any problems. This is a typical pore filling primer. It has a silicone feel to it, and it has a dark tint. The dark tint blends away when you apply it to the skin. I like this primer, but I admit it’s not one I will grab on a regular basis. I used to love primers like this, but now I only use them in combination with another primer.

Sculptor Palette By PUR
Seeing another PUR palette in the box was a major disappointment. I have never had luck with past PUR palettes that we received. I will say the lightest highlight in the palette is gorgeous! I really do see myself using it a lot. I also like the way the lighter contour looks once it blends out. The problem is that it is a nightmare to blend out. This is the problem I always have with PUR palettes. The light contour would typically be too dark for me, but it is seriously lacking in pigment. Therefore, I can make it work with a lot of blending. However, I really doubt I will reach for this just to use the highlight.

P12 Face Brush by Aesthetica
I usually love to receive brushes, but this one I do not like at all. It is a very soft brush, and it feels amazing. However, my problem with this brush is it is way to flimsy. I prefer a brush that has a bit more density to it. I have tried using this with bronzer, blush, and even for sweeping away powder. Unfortunately, I did not like it for any of those things. In my opinion it needs to be a denser brush.

3 Piece Eye Trio by Aesthetica
This eye trio set is okay, but nothing to be wowed by. The spooly brush works fine, but I don’t usually grab just a spooly brush. I usually use the one that has my brow brush on the opposite side. The angled brush I don’t understand at all. It is so thick that I have no idea why you would ever use it. Truthfully, you could not get a thin line with this at all, nearly your whole eye lid would be covered in liner. The last brush in the set is again too flimsy. You can get a thin line with the brush, but it is very hard to keep it neat. You can make it work, but I have other brushes that work better.

The Ink Gel Eyeliner by Pretty Vulgar
The packaging for this product is the coolest packaging ever! I am so in love with the packaging, and I will definitely be leaving this on display on my vanity. It is also a great formula! It is jet black, creamy, and it dries down matte. I don’t have any problem with this product. I just don’t use liner much anymore because I find that it doesn’t look well with my hooded eyes. However, I will keep this to use from time to time.

Matte Liquid Lip Gloss by Beauty Creations
If you have followed me for a while you already know what my problem with this product is going to be. A matte gloss? Seriously! Why do companies do this? You cannot market something to be matte and glossy when those two things are total opposites. Marketing fails are such a pet peeve for me! So obviously this is a matte liquid lipstick that does not transfer. Aside from the bad marketing I still don’t love this product. If you apply a very thin layer it does look nice, and it is long-lasting. However, as the day goes it starts to get a tacky feel to it. So when you press your lips together they stick. Not my favorite formula because of that feel.

Thank you all so much for spending your time in my little corner! I truly do appreciate it. I hope you enjoyed this unboxing, and I am sorry that this months was a lot more negative. I hate to be negative here, but I also think that honesty is important. If you are a charmer let me know what you thought of this months box!
