Hello everyone! Welcome back to my quirky corner of the web. I am super excited to share my new Erin Condren life planner with all of you as well as some of my ideas for staying on track in 2019. I loved my Erin Condren planner last year, and I had to purchase one for this year as well. For me, there is no other planner that compares to it. I am more pumped for planning this year, and I want to bring you all along with me! So let’s get started, shall we?
If you are totally new to Erin Condren planners I want to give you some basic knowledge on them first, but if you already are familiar with the brand feel free to skip through this part.
One of my most favorite things in the Erin Condren planners are the quote pages placed at the beginnings of each month. For me, the quotes serve as a spark of inspiration at the start of the month, and they are also helpful when you need a spark of motivation on any given day. I love quotations so this feature is meaningful to me.
These planners can also be customized to your liking. You get to choose your cover, colors, add your name, horizontal or vertical layout, coil color, and even add photos to the cover. This is another reason I really enjoy the Erin Condren because I like that you have a hand in designing the planner to fit your needs. The life planners are expensive, however, depending on what add-ons you get they will be $60 USD and up. I think the price is worth it, but of course, that is an opinion everyone has to make based on their needs and budget. *Inside My Planner
One of the first spreads you see in the life planner is the goals setting page. Last year I didn’t get much use out of this page so I decided to change my approach to it this year. In 2018 I used each of the twelve boxes to display the main goals I had for the year. However, after writing them in there the first time I never came back to these pages. For 2019 I have decided to do the monthly small goal layout that I have seen others do. This way I am writing down goals each month, and utilizing this space in the planner. I have big goals for 2019, and I hope that writing them down will help me keep on track with them. Plus by doing it this way it forces me to go back to this page each month to fill in the new goals.
Next up we have my first monthly spread. I typically have my spreads decorated a lot, but I am running into the issue this year of not finding any good stickers. Please if you have any sticker shop suggestions let me know in the comments! I have looked in so many stores locally, and found nothing! So now I am trying to find online shops with still little luck. Anyway, I use my monthly spread a lot. This is where I put down all my bills that are due, any appointments I have, any events coming up, etc. I call this the brain of my planner. Everything I need for the month gets put into this spread. Then along the sidebar, I write down bills as they have been paid so I know none are missed.
Then we have the weekly spread which is like the supporting brain of the planner. Each week I check my monthly spread and fill in any information I need for the current week. Then I also split each day into things I need to do for work, things to do for the blog, and then I have a home category for other tasks I need to complete each day around the house. I could not function without this because I quite literally forget things even after writing them down. I will say the layout here is totally going to change. As soon as I get some new stickers and washi tape in I have a new plan for how to do my weekly spreads, and I’ll likely show that in a plan with me later.
I love my Erin Condren life planner. I would quite simply be lost without it. I searched at multiple places trying to find a planner that would compare to it for a cheaper price, and I never found anything close. I know this planner is expensive, but if you are someone who truly relies on a planner to get you through the day then I highly recommend it. I am super excited to find new stickers to use this year and really get into my planning even more. Again, any recommendations are much appreciated!
Thank you so much for spending part of your day in my quirky corner! I appreciate it so much! Feel free to share your planner posts with me because I would love to check out your spreads as well! I know it’s late into January, but I hope everyone has a great 2019!
